1. Booking Overview

By booking with Shanice Ruth | Hair, Makeup & Education, you agree to the following terms and conditions.

These policies are in place to ensure every client receives a professional, organised, and fair experience.

2. Securing Your Appointment

Appointments are secured on a first-come, first-served basis once the required booking fee, deposit, or payment has been received.

No date or appointment time is held without payment.

For bridal bookings, both a signed contract and non-refundable booking fee are required to secure your wedding date.

3. Payments & Booking Fees

Bridal Bookings

A non-refundable booking fee, as outlined within your quotation, is required to secure your wedding date.

The remaining balance is due 14 days before the wedding date unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Occasion Appointments

Special occasion, studio, or mobile appointments may require either full payment or a non-refundable deposit at the time of booking.

Education Sessions

Education bookings, lessons, or artist mentoring sessions require a non-refundable 50% deposit to reserve the session date.

Payments are processed securely through trusted third-party providers such as Stripe or PayPal. Full card details are never stored by Shanice Ruth | Hair, Makeup & Education.

Electronic invoices and payment links will be issued where applicable.

Booking fees and deposits are non-refundable but may be transferable at my discretion depending on circumstances and availability.
 

4. Travel & Location

Travel is calculated from Wisbech (PE13) or the Stevenage studio location (SG1), depending on the booking arrangement.

Additional mileage, parking charges, tolls, congestion charges, accommodation, or other travel-related costs may apply where necessary and will be outlined within your quotation or invoice.
 

5. Cancellations & Rescheduling

All booking fees and deposits are strictly non-refundable.

If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, as much notice as possible is appreciated.
 

Bridal Bookings

Cancellations made within 8 weeks of the wedding date may result in the remaining balance becoming payable in full, due to the date having been reserved exclusively for you.
 

Occasion & Education Appointments

Cancellations made within 48 hours of the appointment time may result in the remaining balance being charged.

Rescheduling requests will always be accommodated where possible but cannot be guaranteed and remain subject to availability.

6. Timeliness & Appointment Preparation

Clients are asked to arrive on time and attend appointments with clean, makeup-free skin and/or clean, dry hair where appropriate for the service booked.

For mobile appointments, suitable lighting, seating, table space, and access to plug sockets must be available.

Delays of more than 15 minutes may reduce appointment time or result in cancellation where the remaining schedule cannot

accommodate the delay.

7. Health, Allergies & Hygiene

Strict hygiene standards are maintained across all brushes, tools, products, and equipment.

Clients are responsible for disclosing any allergies, sensitivities, medical conditions, injuries, or concerns that may affect treatment or product use.

While every effort is made to use suitable products and techniques, Shanice Ruth | Hair, Makeup & Education cannot be held liable for allergic reactions, sensitivities, or issues where relevant information was not disclosed prior to treatment.

8. Photography & Social Media

Photographs or videos of services may occasionally be taken for portfolio, website, education, or marketing purposes.

Images will never be shared where a client has requested privacy prior to the appointment.

9. Force Majeure

In the unlikely event that services cannot be carried out due to circumstances beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to illness, accident, severe weather, venue restrictions, travel disruption, or other unforeseen events, every reasonable effort will be made to arrange an alternative artist or suitable solution where possible.

However, Shanice Ruth | Hair, Makeup & Education cannot be held liable for indirect costs, losses, damages, or circumstances arising as a result of these events.

By paying a booking fee, deposit, or invoice, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these booking policies and terms.
